Who We Are

The Center for Assisted Living Management (CALM) is a professional association dedicated to enhancing the health, safety and well-being of those who live in Pennsylvania’s personal care homes and assisted living residences.

We provide policy and legislative leadership, education, advocacy, information and innovation to an emerging industry whose philosophy of care promotes independence and dignity among seniors and those with disabilities.  Our membership includes for-profit and non-profit providers, as well as businesses that support and serve those providers.

CALM’s mission is to create and sustain a robust care delivery system for Pennsylvania’s aging population. Our focus is on advocacy and public policy activities that help to fulfill that mission.

CALM is an affiliate of the National Center for Assisted Living (NCAL) and is the companion organization of the Pennsylvania Health Care Association (PHCA).  Together, CALM and PHCA represent more than 334 long-term care and senior service providers that each day provide care for nearly 35,000 elderly and disabled individuals.
